Sheridan Campaign Surges to Six-Figure Mark in Half-Quarter — Momentum Builds to Unseat Ann “Wall Street” Wagner
Kirkwood, MO – Ryan Sheridan, Republican candidate for Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, announced today his campaign has donations and commitments over $100,000 despite launching only halfway through the quarter. The total — made up of small-dollar grassroots donations, support from influential backers, and his own investment — is a remarkable achievement for a primary campaign against an entrenched incumbent.
“For a primary insurgent campaign, this half-quarter has been a phenomenal success,” Sheridan said. “This campaign has real legs, and this movement is growing. My opponent should be worried — the momentum is real and the people of this district are tired of rubber stamp politicians.”
Sheridan’s campaign has support from dozens of elected and formerly elected officials across the State House, State Senate, and local offices. Much of that support has been private to this point, but Sheridan said it will increasingly be voiced publicly as the campaign continues to build.
“For too long our nation has been controlled by special interests and career politicians,” Sheridan said. “That era is ending. The Missouri 2nd will no longer be owned by special interests — it will be returned to the people. Ann ‘Wall Street’ Wagner represents the old and corrupt way of doing things, and Missourians are ready for a new direction.”
Sheridan also emphasized that the campaign’s next phase will be marked by a relentless ground game.
“In the coming months, we will be anywhere and everywhere, giving constituents the chance to share their concerns and have their voices heard,” Sheridan said. “The radio silence from my opponent is deafening. She has traded voters for cronies. I will do the opposite — put the people first and meet them where they are.”
Sheridan pointed to the broader stakes of the race as well.
“This race is about ensuring the American Dream is within reach for generations to come. This race is about the health of our nation and the health of our people. People are our number one resource, and future generations deserve leaders who prioritize them — not corporate favoritism or self-serving politicians,” Sheridan said. “This campaign is existential for the Republican Party because it’s about whether we cement the America First legacy and carry it forward. We must choose a party that champions the people, not special interests — only then can America continue to thrive.”
Sheridan closed with a note on endorsements and record:
“I’m not running to collect endorsements — the only endorsement I seek is the endorsement of the people of Missouri’s 2nd District,” Sheridan said. “The incumbent currently carries approval ratings in the 30s and abysmal ratings with nearly every conservative scorecard. Her record speaks for itself.”
